KKDC Policy/Guidelines

Hey guys! Welcome to KK's Dance Company! We are thrilled to have you! Before we can get to the fun lessons/events planned for this upcoming year, we must talk about our Studio policy/guidelines as a Company!

Everyone who is enrolled in the KKDC Studio will receive a Contract similar to the following rules, that will be signed by both the Parent/Guardian and Dance Instructor.

Attendance

KKDC's attendance policy is very important. If your Dancer is sick, she/he is allowed to miss class (If your child has been running a fever/throwing up, please keep them at home to rest!). However, there are no refunds on classes missed. Please notify us via Facebook or Phone if your child will be absent due to sickness or any other complication.

As time draws nearer to Recital Day, your Dancer may not miss more than 3 days. If your Dancer has missed more than 3 days, she/he may not be able to perform in the end of the year Recital. Please keep in mind that Dance class is a group sport. When one person misses, everyone is affected. Rehearsal time is vital.

Class Cancellation Due to Weather

Class will hardly ever be cancelled. However, if class is cancelled, we will notify you on Facebook. Classes cancelled due to weather conditions will be made up on another time!

Observation

As part of our Company Rules, parents with dancers over the age of 4 are not be allowed to sit in. We strongly encourage parents/guardians to leave during their Dancer’s class time so that students perform better and insure their full focus in class.

Communication

KK's Dance Company is easily accessible through Facebook, the Website, and the Studio Phone.

Updates are posted consistently on Facebook and our Website. If you have any questions, or if you simply need to contact us for anything else, Facebook, the Studio phone, and Ms. Kimmie’s cell phone are the way to go!

Class Behavior

We want all of our KKDC Dancers to have an enjoyable class experience. We like to introduce our students to a positive, uplifting environment! We will treat you and your Dancer with courtesy and respect. We expect our students (and parents) to show the same attitude toward their teacher and fellow Dancers! Everyone deserves to SHINE. Be nice! Be Happy!

We request that your KKDC Dancer observe the following simple rules:

* Pay Attention to your teacher

* Water bottles ARE allowed and encouraged! - We want our Dancers to stay hydrated!

* ABSOLUTELY NO GUM is allowed in class! This is a choking hazard! If you come to dance with gum in your mouth, you will be asked to spit it out

*Come prepared to class – Make sure you wear the right attire, your hair is out of your face, you have a positive attitude, ambition, and lots of energy!

KKDC Classroom Etiquette

KKDC Dancers should arrive at the studio with sufficient time to change into dance shoes to begin class on time. It is important that your Dancer not be late! If your Showstopper is to be late, please notify Ms. Kimmie beforehand.

Also, if students need to leave before the end of the class, they should notify the teacher before class begins.

If your Dancer is not behaving or cooperating in class, we may ask them to sit out and observe. Inappropriate behavior will not be allowed.

Payment

Payment is due on the 5th of each month, no later than the 10th. You may pay by debit card, credit card, cash, or check. If you want to make a payment with your debit or credit card, you may do so on our Website.

If you are writing a check, you may make it out to “KKDC”.

If your payment is late, you will receive a notification/message from us. If you are having conflicts with payment, please contact us and we will work something out (We understand!)

Once enrolled, Payments are non-refundable.

Performances

We have one spectacular performance per semester!

Getting Involved in Our Community, Competitions, Parades, etc!

During the year, many of our students have opportunities to participate in activities such as the parades, performing at the fair, special mini camps, etc. We encourage all students to take advantage of these opportunities to grow together as a group!

There will be more information on these events to come!
